In our quest to ride new trails in FL, we moved to just west of Apopka to visit the many trails this area has to offer. We stayed at the NW Orlando/Orange Blossom KOA. The place wasn't fancy, but nice except it did have a lot of noise from trucks, trains, and airplanes being next to a busy highway, railroad tracks, and a regional airport. Thankfully I had my sleep buds to negate the noise when sleeping.

One day we took a trip over to Cape Canaveral for a Starlink launch. I use the Starlink Internet everyday and couldn't live without it.

First we took a ride on the West Orange Trail starting in Apopka and heading towards Winter Garden. The paved trail is 22 miles long and is flat for the most part.

In downtown Winter Garden, serious Florida residents have a nice party golf cart to take to the brewpub. We stopped at the Crooked Can Brewing Co. many times during our stay to join them.

Winter Garden is a neat place with many restaurants and shops.

Our ride on the South Lake Trail, we rode through a Christmas tree tribute in Clermont. This trail connects to the West Orange and extends it west to almost Groveland.

The South Lake Trail runs another 16 miles. We stopped at the Salt Shack on the Lake where we saw this sign that I agree with. Michelle says I need to eat more salads!

Sometimes on these rides you see things nobody else not on the bike trail can see. This is on the East Central Regional Rail Trail, which is part of the Coast to Coast Trail collection of trails across FL.

Here is a view of the Central Florida Regional Trail.

At the end of the C2C trails, you take the Central Florida Rail Trail near Edgewater where some boardwalks take you through a jungle.

If in the area, you should see the Mt Dora Christmas lights all around the city.

We also went to my Mom's for Christmas. Here we are out for dinner in the Villages.

Always love fresh, homemade Chex mix during the holidays.

This is another view of a launch from our view in Titusville. I want to go back when Artemis II finally takes off to start preparing for moon travel.
After Apopka, we head south to Cape Coral for Jan - Feb to avoid even possibly cool air in central FL. Check my next blog posts for what we did when we visited there...
