On our way to another HoF Rail Trail, we stopped off in TN to visit the Smoky Mountains. We stayed at the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA Holiday. Although it was centrally located in Pigeon Forge, it was tight for a rig my size (45'). Although there was a short bike trail right off the campground that we used for the short stay we were here, we didn't get in a lot of miles this stay.

Although we stayed in Pigeon Forge, we did not come for the amusement parks. We did manage to take a hike up in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.

We are not avid hikers, so we tried to find a relatively easy hike that had some nice scenery and this one hit the spot.

This hike paralleled a raging river that made for a nice view. Sorry for the boring post, but we just didn't do much to write home about here, except a hike and ride our bikes to some restaurants. Pigeon Forge is really for families with lots of kids. I'll bet it was much more fun for the younger ones. Next time I will avoid here and stay somewhere in the national park.
