This area is known as the "Grand Canyon of PA" where the Pine Creek Rail Trail travels between mountains on both sides and along the Pine Creek in north central PA. While here in Morris, we stayed at the Twin Streams Campground that was fairly central to the trailheads.

This trail is very remote and runs about 66 miles from Wellsboro to Jersey Shore. Due to weather and time allotted, we did not ride the entire trail, but we definitely want to return to finish every mile because this is was so nice. Surprisingly, this is not a HoF Rail Trail. To us, this trail is much better than many of the HoF trails, so it should certainly be added to the list.

Like many other historical railroads, iron bridges are plentiful that pass the test of time and are still in use.

The trail was another hard-packed limestone that was easily peddled and in great condition.

Just about every mile is a scenic view of mountains and streams/rivers.

Being so remote, you need to make sure you have your own water and food supply since civilization is rare except for a few towns along the way.

Another bonus is going in the fall to see the changing leaves.

Another great view!

The roads out here sometimes do not accomodate large vehicles, so know your roads before driving in this area with a large RV. This is the historic Hilborn iron bridge that was beside the trail.

Being in northern PA, we were only a few miles to Corning, NY, where we visited the Corning Museum of Glass. If your in the area, this is a good one to see.

This delicate sculpture must have been a test of patience to create. It is like its made of glass string.

There's also many exhibits of colored and stained glass.

We watched a live demonstration of how to make a solid glass elephant. This took the demonstrator about 10 minutes to make this little figurine. We also saw a live demontration of blown glass making.

After leaving Morris, we traveled back to MD to attend the wedding of our friend's son. We also rode another HoF trail for the first time while there. Check my next blog post on how things worked out...
